Modern Medicine Marvel!

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.

I went in for surgery on my knee on Monday the 31st. Wow what a difference a little medical intervention can make! The surgeon found a T-shaped tear in my meniscus which settled in the joint in a way that is the most painful of all tears. Now that the pressure in the knee is gone I can not believe how bad it hurt before. It is amazing what your body can get used to. The outside of my knee is sore because of the surgery, but the inner pressure is totally gone. I wish I would have done it sooner. I was just trying to save our family the expense of surgery and the MRI to confirm if I definitely needed the surgery was just as much as the surgery itself.
There is now a cold running around in the family. By the time flu season is in full swing we should pretty well be immune to everything. It is Labor Day weekend and we are planning on getting Elainea's room ready. Currently she is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Hayden is running eveywhere he goes now. He is quite the toddler. It is amazing how quickly they grow up. Hannah went to a birthday party yesterday and has another one next week. This makes us proud to know that she is a good friend to her classmates at school. I made Joe waffles for breakfast because the kids apparently do not like them. Go figure another item our picky kids will not eat!

More later!
